The intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter consists of two parts: a sensor and a converter. It operates based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction and is used to measure the volumetric flow of conductive liquids with conductivity greater than 5μS/cm. It is an inductive instrument for measuring the volumetric flow of conductive media. In addition to measuring the volumetric flow of general conductive liquids, it can also be used to measure the volumetric flow of highly corrosive liquids such as strong acids and strong alkalis, as well as uniform liquid-solid two-phase suspensions such as slurry, ore pulp, and paper pulp. It is widely used for flow measurement in industrial sectors such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, light textile, papermaking, environmental protection, and food, as well as in fields such as municipal administration, water conservancy construction, and river dredging.

 

II. Working Principle 

According to the principle of Faraday electromagnetic induction, a pair of detecting electrodes is installed on the pipe wall perpendicular to the axis of the measuring tube and the magnetic field lines. When the conductive liquid moves along the axis of the measuring tube, the conductive liquid cuts the magnetic field lines to generate an induced electromotive force. This induced electromotive force is detected by the two detecting electrodes, and its value is directly proportional to the flow rate. Its value is:
   E=KBVD 
   Where: 
   E- induced electromotive force;
   K- coefficient related to magnetic field distribution and axial length;
   B- magnetic flux density;
   V- average flow velocity of conductive liquid;
   D- electrode spacing; (inner diameter of measuring tube)
   The sensor uses the induced electromotive force E as the flow signal and transmits it to the converter. After amplification, conversion, filtering, and a series of digital processing, the instantaneous flow and cumulative flow are displayed on a backlit dot-matrix LCD. The converter has 420mA output, alarm output, and frequency output, and is equipped with communication interfaces such as RS-485, and supports HART and MODBUS protocols.

 

III. Instrument Features

Full digital processing, strong anti-interference capability, reliable measurement, high accuracy, and a flow measurement range up to 150:1;
Ultra-low EMI switching power supply, suitable for a wide range of power supply voltage fluctuations, with good EMI resistance;
Adopts a 16-bit embedded microprocessor with fast computing speed and high accuracy. Programmable frequency low-frequency rectangular wave excitation improves the stability of flow measurement and reduces power consumption;
Adopts SMD components and surface mount (SMT) technology, ensuring high circuit reliability;
No movable parts and no flow-blocking components inside the pipeline, resulting in almost no additional pressure loss during measurement;
The range can be modified online on site according to the actual needs of users;
The measurement results are independent of physical parameters such as flow velocity distribution, fluid pressure, temperature, density, and viscosity;
High-definition backlit LCD display, full Chinese menu operation, convenient to use, simple to operate, easy to learn and understand;
With digital communication signal outputs such as RS485, RS232, Hart, and Modbus; (optional)

With self-check and self-diagnosis functions;
Hourly total recording function, recording the total flow in units of hours, suitable for time-of-use metering systems (optional);
Internally equipped with three accumulators, which can separately display forward cumulative quantity, reverse cumulative quantity, and differential accumulated quantity. It has a built-in power-fail clock and can record 16 power-off times. (optional);
 Infrared handheld operator, 115KHZ communication rate, remote non-contact operation of all converter functions (optional).

If any abnormality is found during use, the power supply should be turned off, use should be stopped, and inspection should be carried out, or contact our company's technical department directly. 6. During transportation and storage, restore the original packaging and store it in a cool, dry, and ventilated warehouse. 7. The quality guarantee period is 12 months (damage caused by improper use such as pressure overload and wiring errors is not covered by the quality guarantee). 8.
