As precision measuring equipment,HNLD electromagnetic flowmeters installation quality directly determines its long-term operational stability and measurement accuracy。Based on Shengchuan engineering team 15 years of field service experience,80% of measurement errors originate from omissions in the installation process。Before formal installation,three core preparation tasks must be completed:pipeline cleanliness inspection、installation position assessment and installation tooling preparation。
For JTLDE、LTLDE and other series electromagnetic flowmeters,special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the inner pipe wall。Residual slurry,rust or sealant can lead to electrode signal abnormalities。We recommend using ISO 8573-1 compressed air quality Grade 2 for purging,ensuring there are no foreign materials inside the pipeline。At the same time,inspect the welded joints with an endoscope and avoid uncleaned scale deposits。
The choice of installation position directly affects measurement stability。According to GB/T 18659-2018 requirements,it should avoid the pump outlet at 3-5D distance,and ensure the upstream straight length is not less than 10D(D means pipe diameter),downstream not less than 5D。For ATMLDF and other high-pressure models,pipe support structure shock resistance also needs to be considered,and it is recommended to install vibration-damping supports at both ends of the flowmeter。
Electrode installation of electromagnetic flowmeters is a key step to guarantee signal quality。Shengchuan technical team found during service of SDLDBE series flowmeters that 90% of signal interference issues came from poor grounding。Independent grounding systems must be used,grounding resistance should be less than 4Ω(humid environment less than 1Ω),and grounding line cross-sectional area should be no less than 6mm²。
For ZME electromagnetic flowmeters with silicone-rubber lining,special attention is required during installation:electrode installation torque should be controlled within 3-5N·m,over-tightening can cause liner deformation。After installation,check electrode-to-ground insulation resistance with a multimeter and require ≥100MΩ(at 25℃)。For corrosive media,it is recommended to use titanium-magnesium alloy electrodes with an added grounding ring,which can improve HNLDF series service life in strong acid and strong alkali environments。
Flange connection is the most common installation method for LD electromagnetic flowmeters。According to HG/T 20592-2009 standard,bolt tightening should follow diagonal progressive tightening and reach rated torque in three stages(DN50 and below 60N·m,DN200 120N·m)。Special reminder:when LT-LDE series uses PTFE lining,metal gaskets must not be used on flange faces,PTFE wrapped gaskets must be used。
In chemical industry applications,sealing treatment of ATMLD electromagnetic flowmeters is especially critical。We recommend a double-sealing solution:use graphite composite gaskets on the flange face,and coat the gasket section with copper sulfide to prevent corrosion。After installation,a sealing test at 0.75 times design pressure is required,with pressure-holding time not less than 30 minutes。For food-grade applications,all sealing materials must meet FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 standard。
Signal line handling of electromagnetic flowmeters directly affects anti-interference ability。The HNLD series requires dual-layer shielded cable(for example BELDEN 8761),with 360° complete grounding of the shield layer。According to IEC 60364-5-54 standard,power line and signal line must be laid separately,horizontal spacing no less than 30cm。When installing near a frequency converter,a magnetic ring filter is recommended。
During field commissioning,we found that JTLDE electromagnetic flowmeter 4-20mA output abnormalities are mostly caused by wiring errors。Strictly distinguish:red wire to power positive(+24VDC),black wire to signal positive,shielding layer grounded at one end only。For LTLDE models with RS485 communication,A/B lines need terminal matching with 120Ω resistor,and total bus length must not exceed 1200m。
After installation,zero-point calibration and full-scale verification must be performed。After HNLD electromagnetic flowmeter is fully filled with medium,zero drift should be less than 0.5%FS。Full-scale testing uses the displacement or weighing method,with error controlled within 0.3%(including 0.2% for commercial settlement)。For high-accuracy models such as SDLDBE,it is recommended to use an ultrasonic pulse test setup for third-party verification。
Acceptance documents should include:factory acceptance certificate(including NIM flow calibration report)、installation inspection list、grounding resistance test records、sealing test report,etc。According to JJG 1030-2022 regulations,electromagnetic flowmeters of DN300 and above need online calibration every 2 years,Shengchuan can provide life-cycle calibration service for ATMLDF series in-house。
According to maintenance data from 2000+ electromagnetic flowmeters,we summarized typical fault-handling solutions:when electrode scaling causes signal attenuation,5% oxalic acid solution can be used for circulation cleaning;if grounded alarm is frequent,check grounding system and adjust alarm threshold;when flow fluctuation is large,inspect valves and check for deformation or damage。For ZME silicone-rubber-lined models,check liner separation conditions every 6 months。
