YSJ-B1 Pressure Transmitter Accuracy Deviation? Practical Calibration Case Study Sharing for Diffused Silicon Sensors
Added to Favorites:125

What should be done if the accuracy of the YSJ-B1 pressure transmitter shows deviation? This article provides a detailed analysis of the calibration method for diffused silicon liquid and gas pressure sensors through actual cases. As a professional instrumentation manufacturer, we will share how to quickly diagnose and solve the accuracy issues of the YSJ-B1 pressure transmitter, helping operators improve equipment efficiency.

I. Working Principle of Diffused Silicon Pressure Sensors and Factors Affecting Accuracy

Diffused silicon pressure sensors use the semiconductor piezoresistive effect principle, converting pressure signals into electrical signal output through the Wheatstone bridge on the silicon chip. As a typical representative, the YSJ-B1 pressure transmitter may have accuracy deviations originating from: 1) zero drift caused by temperature changes; 2) sensor aging after long-term use; 3) the influence of on-site installation stress; 4) changes in medium characteristics. According to the requirements of the GB/T 15478-2015 standard, the accuracy grade of diffused silicon liquid and gas pressure sensors must be ensured through periodic calibration.

II. Typical Calibration Case: Handling YSJ-B1 Accuracy Abnormalities in a Chemical Project

In the chlorine gas transmission pipeline of a chemical plant, the YSJ-B1 pressure transmitter showed a measurement error of ±1.2%FS for 3 consecutive months. Our technical team resolved the problem through the following steps: first, using the domestic differential pressure transmitter ZEN302 diffused silicon integrated differential pressure transmitter as the reference equipment for comparative testing, it was confirmed that the original transmitter had zero drift. Then, according to the JJG 882-2019 regulation, a three-point calibration was carried out using a standard pressure source (0%、50%、100% range), and it was specifically found that when the medium temperature exceeded 70℃, the temperature compensation coefficient needed to be adjusted. Finally, through recalibration, the accuracy was restored to Class 0.25.

III. Calibration Operation Guide for Diffused Silicon Sensors

For PM-PM320, YSJ-B1 and other series products, the standard calibration procedure should include:

  • Preparation: Check whether the input impedance of supporting instruments (such as the PT-A series) matches
  • Electrical connection: Refer to the wiring diagram specification of VP-VP451 to ensure stable 24VDC power supply
  • Range setting: Set the upper and lower limit values according to the measurement range parameters of PD-PD50
  • Data recording: Use the ZP-801 supporting equipment to record the zero/full-scale output values

It is recommended to carry out preventive calibration once every 6 months, and for high-frequency equipment such as CX-203, it should be shortened to 3 months.
