Maintenance Guide for the UFM-2000 Wall-Mounted Ultrasonic Flow Sensor

1. Sensor Cleaning and Routine Inspection

Regular cleaning is a fundamental measure to ensure the normal operation of the UFM-2000 wall-mounted ultrasonic flow sensor。Operators should check the sensor surface weekly for dust accumulation、oil stains、or foreign matter adhesion,and use a lint-free cloth dipped in a small amount of industrial alcohol(concentration not exceeding 70%)to gently wipe the probe area。For the RD-LBYB model,special attention should be paid to cleaning blind spots in its dual-probe structure to prevent dirt from affecting ultrasonic signal transmission efficiency。

For the LCZ-803DF series used in harsh environments such as chemical plants,it is recommended to increase the cleaning frequency to once every 3 days。Cleaning must be performed with the power disconnected,and the O-ring seal should be checked for aging(according to the GB/T3452.1 standard)。If the sealing ring is found to be hardened or cracked,it should be replaced immediately to prevent medium ingress from damaging the internal circuit。


2. Signal Calibration and Accuracy Verification

Models such as CH-TUF-2000 and UFM-2000 require signal calibration every quarter:

3. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Environmental Protection

Models such as LCZ-803BW used in wastewater treatment applications require three-level anti-corrosion measures:

- Primary protection:spray a polyurethane anti-corrosion coating on the sensor housing(thickness ≥80μm)
- Intermediate protection:use a 316L stainless steel anti-corrosion plated layer on the probe contact surface
- Advanced protection:for models used in subsea pipelines such as LCZ-803DB,a cathodic protection device must be installed

When the ambient humidity remains above 85%(such as LCZ-803C applications in paper mills),Dow Corning®4 silicone grease should be applied to the electrical interface to prevent contact oxidation from causing signal distortion。


4. Fault Diagnosis and Emergency Handling

Common problem solutions:

Intermittent signal interruption: Check whether the waterproof rating of the RD-LBYS cable connector reaches IP68,and retighten the M12 aviation connector
Measured value drift: Inspect the LCZ-803B for air accumulation in the pipeline,and release air bubbles through the top exhaust valve
Abnormal display screen: Reset the CPU module of the UFM-2000,and replace the spare display module if the issue persists


5. Spare Parts Management and Lifecycle Maintenance

Establish an inventory list of critical spare parts(recommended to include the following components):

  • Ultrasonic transducer(applicable to CH-TUF-2000/UFM-2000 series)
  • Signal processing mainboard(compatible with the full LCZ series)
  • PT100 temperature compensation module

According to the ISO 15686 standard,it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive performance evaluation when the equipment has been in operation for 5 years,including:
- Probe sensitivity attenuation test
- Circuit board capacitor capacity inspection
- Mechanical structure stress analysis
