A flange level transmitter is a field transmitter that is directly installed on a pipeline or container. Because the diaphragm of the level transmitter is in direct contact with the liquid medium, there is no need to lead out the positive pressure side (H side ) through a pressure guide pipe. Therefore, it can measure media with high temperature, high viscosity, easy crystallization, easy precipitation, and strong corrosion.

Single-flange level transmitters are installed and connected using standard flanges. When using them, it should be noted that flat flange level transmitters are used for general viscous media, while insertion flange level transmitters are used for highly viscous media, media that are prone to sedimentation and suspension. During installation, the measuring diaphragm must be inserted deep into the inner wall of the container, at least tangent to the inner wall.

The sanitary level transmitter uses a clamp for quick connection; its surface in contact with the medium must be precision machined and treated to meet sanitary standards in terms of smoothness and cleanliness.

Single flange level transmitter for open container installation
When measuring the liquid level in an open container, the positive pressure side (H side ) of the single-flange level transmitter should be connected to the pipeline or tank and the medium, while the negative pressure side (L side ) should be open to the atmosphere.
1. When measuring the liquid level of an open container , if the level transmitter flange is installed on the same horizontal line as the lowest liquid level to measure the changing liquid level, the single-flange level transmitter theoretically does not perform zero-point migration.

2. When measuring the liquid level in an open container, if the flange mounting point of the single-flange level transmitter is lower than the lowest liquid level position and the liquid level is changing, the single-flange level transmitter should perform a positive zero-point migration.

Single flange level transmitter for sealed container installation
When using a single-flange level transmitter to measure the liquid level in a closed container, the negative pressure chamber must be kept dry. If condensate enters the negative pressure chamber, a condensate tank must be installed in the negative pressure side pipeline at a position lower than the transmitter, and the condensate must be drained regularly. During drainage, the normally open valve must be closed to prevent the transmitter from being subjected to unidirectional pressure.
1. When measuring the liquid level in a closed container , the level transmitter flange should be installed at the same horizontal line as the lowest liquid level to measure the changing liquid level. Single-flange level transmitters do not need to be moved.

2. When measuring the liquid level in a closed container, if the installation point of the single-flange level transmitter is lower than the lowest liquid level and the measurement changes, the single-flange level transmitter should be moved forward.

3. The negative pressure side of the level transmitter in a closed container cannot be guaranteed to be dry or corrosive, and should not be in direct contact with the negative pressure side of the transmitter. During installation, the negative pressure side conduit must be filled with isolation fluid. Single flange level transmitters require negative migration.
