The flanged level transmitter is a field transmitter installed directly on pipelines or vessels. Since the isolation diaphragm of the level transmitter is in direct contact with the liquid medium, the positive pressure side(H side) does not need to be led out by an impulse tube, so it can measure media such as high temperature, high viscosity, easy crystallization, easy sedimentation, and strong corrosion.

The single-flange level transmitter uses a standard flange for installation and connection. During use, it should be noted that a flat-flange level transmitter is used for general viscous media; for media with high viscosity, easy sedimentation, and suspended liquid, an insertion-type flange level transmitter should be used, and during installation the measuring diaphragm must extend into the inner wall of the vessel, at least flush with the inner wall of the vessel.

The sanitary level transmitter adopts a clamp form for quick connection; the surface in contact with the medium must undergo precision machining and treatment, and its finish and cleanliness both comply with sanitary standards.

Installation of single-flange level transmitter for open vessels
When measuring the liquid level of an open vessel, the positive pressure side of the single-flange level transmitter(H side) is connected to the pipeline or tank and connected with the medium, and the negative pressure side(L side) should be vented to the atmosphere.
1、When measuring the liquid level of an open vessel, when the flange of the level transmitter is installed on the same horizontal line as the minimum liquid level to measure the changing liquid level, the single-flange level transmitter theoretically does not require zero point shift.
 
 

2、When measuring the liquid level of an open vessel, when the flange installation point of the single-flange level transmitter is lower than the minimum liquid level position for measuring the changing liquid level, the single-flange level transmitter should be given a positive zero shift.

 

Installation of single-flange level transmitter for closed vessels
When the single-flange level transmitter measures the liquid level of a closed vessel, the negative pressure chamber must be kept dry. If condensate enters the negative pressure chamber, a liquid collection tank must be installed in the negative pressure side pipeline at a position lower than the transmitter, and the collected liquid should be drained regularly. During drainage, the normally open valve must be closed to prevent the transmitter from bearing unidirectional pressure.
1、When measuring the liquid level of a closed vessel, the flange of the level transmitter should be installed on the same horizontal line as the minimum liquid level to measure the changing liquid level, and the single-flange level transmitter does not need shift adjustment.

 

 
2、When measuring the liquid level of a closed vessel, if the installation point of the single-flange level transmitter is lower than the minimum liquid level and is used for variable measurement, the single-flange level transmitter should be given a positive shift.              

3、If the negative pressure side of the level transmitter in a closed vessel cannot be kept dry or is corrosive and cannot directly contact the negative pressure side of the transmitter, during installation the negative pressure side guide tube must be filled with isolation liquid, and the single-flange level transmitter needs negative shift adjustment.
