Flanged level transmitter is a field transmitter directly installed on pipelines or vessels. Since the isolation diaphragm of the level transmitter is in direct contact with the liquid medium, the positive pressure side(H side) does not need to be led out with an impulse pipe, therefore it can measure media such as high temperature, high viscosity, easy crystallization, easy sedimentation, and strong corrosion.

The single-flange level transmitter uses a standard flange for installation and connection. During use, it should be noted that for general viscous media, a flat-flange level transmitter should be used; for media with high viscosity, easy sedimentation, and suspended liquid, an insertion-flange level transmitter should be used, and during installation the measuring diaphragm must extend into the inner wall of the vessel, at least tangent to the inner wall of the vessel.

The sanitary level transmitter adopts a clamp form for quick connection; the surface in contact with the medium must undergo precision machining and treatment, and both finish and cleanliness comply with sanitary standards.

Single-flange level transmitter installation for open vessel
When measuring the liquid level of an open vessel, the positive pressure side of the single-flange level transmitter(H side) is connected to the pipeline or tank and connected with the medium, and the negative pressure side(L side) should be vented to atmosphere.
1、When measuring the liquid level of an open vessel, when the flange of the level transmitter is installed on the same horizontal line as the lowest liquid level to measure the changing liquid level, the single-flange level transmitter theoretically does not require zero shift.
 
 

2、When measuring the liquid level of an open vessel, when the flange installation point of the single-flange level transmitter is lower than the lowest liquid level position to measure the changing liquid level, the single-flange level transmitter should be given a positive zero shift.

 

Single-flange level transmitter installation for closed vessel
When the single-flange level transmitter measures the liquid level of a closed vessel, the negative pressure chamber must be kept dry. If condensate enters the negative pressure chamber, a liquid collection tank must be installed in the negative pressure side pipeline at a position lower than the transmitter, and the accumulated liquid should be drained regularly. During drainage, the normally open valve should be closed to prevent the transmitter from bearing one-way pressure.
1、When measuring the liquid level of a closed vessel, the flange of the level transmitter should be installed on the same horizontal line as the lowest liquid level to measure the changing liquid level, and the single-flange level transmitter does not need shift adjustment.

 

 
2、When measuring the liquid level of a closed vessel, if the installation point of the single-flange level transmitter is lower than the lowest liquid level and the level is changing, the single-flange level transmitter should be given a positive shift.              

3、If the negative pressure side of the level transmitter in a closed vessel cannot be kept dry or is corrosive, and cannot directly contact the negative pressure side of the transmitter, the negative pressure side guide pipe must be filled with isolation liquid during installation, and the single-flange level transmitter requires negative shift adjustment.
