In the field of industrial flow measurement, RT-LDE electromagnetic flowmeters are gradually replacing traditional flowmeters by virtue of their high accuracy and stability. This article provides key decision-making references for technical evaluators through comparative analysis of measured data on the performance differences between LY-LDE series, XFC/XFE and other electromagnetic flowmeters and traditional instruments.
Electromagnetic flowmeters (such as the RT-LDE and LY-LDE series) operate based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, calculating flow rate by measuring the induced electromotive force generated when a conductive fluid cuts magnetic field lines. This principle gives them inherent advantages such as no pressure loss and no mechanical moving parts. Traditional turbine flowmeters or orifice flowmeters, on the other hand, rely on the rotation of mechanical components or differential pressure measurement, and are prone to wear, reduced accuracy and other issues during long-term use. Measured data show that the XFC electromagnetic flowmeter can still maintain an accuracy of ±0.5% under full-scale operating conditions, while the error of traditional turbine flowmeters generally exceeds ±2% after six months of use.
Particularly noteworthy is the measured case of the LY-LDE-C electromagnetic flowmeter in the chemical industry: when measuring 30% sulfuric acid solution, the fluctuation of its three-year stability test data was less than 0.8%, while the accuracy of mechanical flowmeters decreased by 4% within six months due to corrosion. This difference is directly related to material accounting accuracy and cost control in the production process.
1. Water treatment industry: HPLDE electromagnetic flowmeters adopt an IP68 protection rating and special electrode materials, maintaining stable measurement even in harsh environments such as aeration tanks in wastewater treatment plants. Compared with traditional ultrasonic flowmeters, their resistance to the effects of bubbles and suspended matter improves data reliability by more than 40%.
2. Food and pharmaceuticals: JCLDBE electromagnetic flowmeters have passed 3-A sanitary certification, and their quick-disassembly design and polished finish (Ra≤0.4μm) fully meet GMP requirements. After a dairy enterprise switched to this model, CIP cleaning time was shortened by 30%, saving more than 150,000 yuan in annual operating costs.
1. Medium characteristics: for liquids with conductivity >5μS/cm, LY-LDE electromagnetic flowmeters are the preferred choice; for non-conductive media, alternatives such as vortex shedding should be considered.
2. Installation conditions: the innovative compact design of XFE electromagnetic flowmeters (with a length only 1.5 times the pipe diameter) is particularly suitable for retrofit projects with limited space.
3. Life cycle cost: although the initial procurement cost of LY-LDE-WS electromagnetic flowmeters is relatively high, based on their 10-year maintenance-free feature, the TCO is instead 35%~50% lower than that of traditional flowmeters.
As a national high-tech enterprise, we hold 20 patents related to electromagnetic flowmeters, and all products have passed ISO9001:2015 certification. The specially developed LY-LDE-A/B series provides customized solutions for different operating conditions, including: - High-temperature type (180℃)- High-pressure type (PN40)- Explosion-proof type (Ex dⅡCT6). Our technical team can provide full-process support from selection to installation, and more than 300 enterprises have achieved reduced energy consumption and improved efficiency through our flow measurement solutions.
