Under the harsh operating conditions of the petrochemical industry, the LYB-LYB3008 pressure transmitter demonstrates outstanding performance by virtue of its diffused silicon sensor core technology. In the petrochemical production process, there are complex operating conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive media, and traditional sensors are prone to problems such as zero drift and seal failure. The diffused silicon technology used in LYB-LYB3008 directly converts pressure into electrical signals through the semiconductor piezoresistive principle, and its core advantages are reflected in three aspects: first, the 316 stainless steel isolation diaphragm and the parts in contact with the medium can withstand corrosive gases such as hydrogen sulfide; second, the 0.25 accuracy class meets the pressure monitoring requirements of API 675 standards for refining units; finally, the wide temperature compensation capability of -30~+85℃ adapts to extreme environments such as cracking furnaces. Three dimensions need to be considered during selection: medium characteristics require special materials such as 316 stainless steel or Hastelloy; the process pressure fluctuation range determines the range selection (it is recommended that the working pressure be within 30%~70% of the range); and the signal receiving type of the control system should match the 4~20mA or 0~10V output. In an ethylene project, the JYB-KO-M pressure transmitter once experienced periodic jumps in measured values. After analysis by the Xi'an Shenghongchuang technical team, it was found to be diaphragm resonance caused by pulsating flow. The solution included: installing a pulse damper to reduce fluid impact; selecting the SK1151-33X model with a rise time of ≤5 milliseconds; and adding a digital filtering algorithm in the PLC program. Such cases confirm the importance of sensor dynamic response characteristics emphasized by the ISO 2186 standard. For operating conditions such as pressure reducing units where solid particles are present, it is recommended to select the DET-131 model with a sintered metal filter, and its GL1/2 male threaded connection facilitates maintenance and cleaning.
With the mandatory implementation of the IEC 61511 functional safety standard in the petrochemical industry, the new generation of pressure transmitters is developing in three directions: the KYBX-KYBX model integrating the HART7.0 protocol can realize remote diagnostics; the ND-1 model compliant with SIL2 certification meets the requirements of safety instrumented systems; and the KD-KD201 model using MEMS technology reduces power consumption by 40%.
