PTHY-A Pressure Transmitter Technical Performance Evaluation: Performance of Hirschmann Diffused Silicon Sensors Under Extreme Working Conditions

The PTHY-A pressure transmitter is equipped with a Germany HSMAN diffused silicon sensor core, and can still maintain a measurement accuracy of ±0.1%FS under extreme working conditions such as high temperature and high pressure. I. Analysis of Technical Performance and Core Parameters

The PTHY-A pressure transmitter adopts an original Germany HSMAN diffused silicon sensor, and its core advantages are reflected in three aspects: first, within the wide temperature range of -40℃~125℃, the temperature drift coefficient is less than 0.01%/℃; second, the 316L stainless steel housing certified to IP67 protection grade can resist acid and alkali corrosion in chemical industry scenarios; finally, the built-in ASIC signal conditioning chip realizes 0~10V/4~20mA dual output modes, compatible with more than 90% of industrial control systems. Measured data show that after continuous operation for 2000 hours at a 10MPa range, its repeatability error is still controlled within 0.05%FS, far exceeding the requirements of the IEC 60770 standard.


II. Stability Verification Under Extreme Working Conditions

In comparative tests on an oil drilling platform, the PTHY-A and similar products continuously monitored wellhead pressure in an environment of 80℃ high temperature and 95% humidity. The results show that when the vibration frequency reached 60Hz, the output fluctuation of traditional piezoresistive sensors reached ±1.2%, while the PTHY-A, relying on the stress isolation design of the diffused silicon sensor, had a fluctuation amplitude of only ±0.3%. Especially in the pressure step-change test (0→8MPa/0.5 seconds), its response time was only 12ms, fully meeting the dynamic response requirements of API 6A for well control equipment. This is similar in effect to the rapid response characteristics demonstrated by the domestic B101 spoke-type tension-compression load cell in ship tension testing.


III. Supporting Instrument Compatibility Test

For common supporting equipment such as the DMK-DMK457 control system and the PMP131-A1B01A73 digital display instrument, we conducted signal matching tests. The HSMAN sensor of the PTHY-A natively supports the HART 7.0 protocol, and when connected to the 8472.25-5717 signal converter, automatic range identification is realized without additional configuration. It is worth noting that after 500 meters of ultra-long cable transmission, the attenuation of its 4~20mA output signal is less than 0.02%, significantly better than the 0.08% attenuation rate of the 30.600G-G transmitter. This stability has key value in distributed monitoring systems in chemical plant areas.
