1. Poor sealing of the Hirschmann connector leads to measurement errors

The sealing performance of the diffused silicon Hirschmann pressure sensor connector is the primary issue during installation. According to the API 682 standard, in high-pressure scenarios such as petrochemicals, it is recommended to adopt the following steps:

  • Use a dedicated torque wrench to tighten the connector, with the torque controlled within the 15-20N·m range
  • Prefer fluororubber sealing rings (FKM material), with a temperature resistance range of -20℃~200℃
  • For threaded connection models such as LPB-LPB8400, special PTFE sealant must be applied to the threaded part

Actual cases show that improper sealing of a VP-VP461 model at a refinery caused annual loss to increase by 12%, and after correct treatment, the measurement error dropped from ±1.2% to ±0.3%.


1.1 Sealing performance test method

  3. Select vibration-resistant models such as YSJ-B3 (10g/0-500Hz)

4. Electrical interference causes signal abnormalities

  • The distance between the signal cable and the power cable should be ≥30cm
  • Use twisted-pair shielded cable, with the shielding layer grounded at one end only
  • Install a signal isolator at the PLC end
