This article provides a detailed introduction to the installation and commissioning methods of the PT124B-210-100MPa-M20 pressure transmitter, helping technical evaluation personnel master the correct usage skills of the diffused silicon Hirschmann pressure sensor. From product selection to on-site application, it analyzes key operating steps and precautions for you, improving the measurement accuracy and stability of industrial flow control equipment.
As the core component of the PT124B series, the diffused silicon Hirschmann pressure sensor adopts the semiconductor strain gauge principle and realizes high-precision pressure measurement through the piezoresistive effect of silicon crystals. Its typical linearity reaches ±0.1%FS, and the temperature compensation range is -40℃~125℃, making it particularly suitable for harsh working conditions such as petrochemical and power energy industries. The PT124B-210-100MPa-M20 model produced by Xi'an Shenghongchuang Instrumentation Co., Ltd. has passed IP67 protection certification and CE/ROHS dual certification. Its threaded interface adopts the M20×1.5 standard specification and can directly replace traditional mechanical pressure gauges.
1. Mechanical installation specifications:When using a 24mm open-end wrench to tighten the process connection, it is necessary to ensure that the flange sealing surface is perpendicular to the pipeline axis, with a maximum allowable deviation of no more than 0.5°. For hydraulic system applications, it is recommended to install a pulsation damper upstream of the sensor to prevent pressure spikes from damaging the sensitive element.
2. Key points for electrical wiring:When connecting with a twisted shielded cable (such as AWG18), the shielding layer should be grounded at one end only. The Hirschmann connector wiring sequence is: pin 1 to power + (10-30VDC), pin 2 to signal +, and pin 3 shared for power -/signal -. Special note: if used together with a PLC, a 0.1μF filter capacitor must be connected in parallel at the signal terminal.
Zero/span calibration can be performed through a HART protocol handheld communicator (model HT-201): first, under atmospheric pressure, press and hold the "ZERO" key for 3 seconds to complete zero calibration, then apply a standard pressure of 100MPa and enter "PV=100.00" to confirm the full-scale value. If nonlinear error occurs during commissioning, compensation can be carried out through the built-in 5-point polyline correction function. Typical commissioning cases show that the calibrated PT124B transmitter can still maintain ±0.25% measurement accuracy under 80℃ working conditions.
Compared with the MBS1900 series, the PT124B has obvious advantages in long-term stability under the 100MPa range: after 2000 pressure cycle tests, the hysteresis error of the PT124B is only 0.02%FS, while similar products generally exceed 0.05%. However, for micro-range (<1MPa) applications, it is recommended to choose the DG1300-BZ series, which adopts ceramic piezoresistive technology and can achieve an accuracy of 0.05%FS.
As the largest sensor production base in Northwest China, we have a CNAS-certified 1000MPa hydraulic calibration system and can provide a NIST-traceable calibration certificate for each PT124B. For special working condition requirements, we can also provide customized solutions such as explosion-proof type (Ex d IIC T6) and high/low temperature type (-196℃~300℃).
