Improper installation of diffused silicon pressure transmitters will directly affect measurement accuracy and service life. This article focuses on models such as PA-21R-16, providing an in-depth analysis of the three major installation misconceptions: vibration interference, medium corrosion, and temperature compensation, helping technical evaluation personnel avoid 90% of on-site failures. Master the correct installation methods for diffused silicon sensors to ensure that series products such as DG1300-BZ-A-2-40 deliver optimal performance in liquid/gas pressure monitoring.
In field applications of pressure transmitters such as PT201H-G5000M, approximately 35% of measurement errors originate from mechanical vibration interference. The core of the diffused silicon sensor uses a micron-level silicon diaphragm structure. When the installation position is close to pumps, valves, or pipeline bends, high-frequency vibration can cause resonant displacement of the diaphragm. A case from a petrochemical project showed that after a PMP131-C1A2L16 transmitter installed near a centrifugal pump without vibration reduction measures, the output signal fluctuation amplitude reached ±2.5%FS, far exceeding the design requirement of 0.5% accuracy. Solutions include: using dedicated anti-vibration brackets (compliant with ISO 10816-3 standards), adding a silicone oil damping layer to models such as HM20-1-A1-F1-W2-T, and maintaining an installation distance of more than 3 pipe diameters from the vibration source.
When the PBM4-13.B29R.A115.2663 series was applied in the chlor-alkali industry, the 316L diaphragm once failed to undergo PTFE lining treatment, resulting in corrosion failure of the sensitive element within 6 months. Technical evaluation should focus on parameters such as the medium pH value, chloride ion concentration (evaluated according to GB/T 20878-2007 standards), and particulate content. For models such as DG1300-BZ-A-2-2.5/AA/SZWZH that come into contact with corrosive media, it is recommended to use a Hastelloy C276 diaphragm + ceramic isolation technology, whose corrosion resistance is 8 times higher than that of conventional materials. During installation, it is necessary to ensure that the material of the process connection fittings matches the sensor to avoid electrochemical corrosion.
The MTPFU-MTPFU transmitter experienced a -1.2% zero drift in winter in northern regions, caused by the built-in temperature compensation algorithm not being activated. Diffused silicon sensors achieve automatic compensation within the -40℃~125℃ range through a resistance temperature detector (RTD), but attention should be paid to the following: the installation position should avoid heat radiation sources (distance >50cm), cables should use twisted shielded wires (to reduce the thermocouple effect), and the full-range temperature calibration function should be enabled in the configuration software of models such as JPB-CNM. It is recommended to refer to the JJG 882-2019 verification regulation and conduct three-point calibration at -20℃/25℃/80℃ every quarter.
As a national high-tech enterprise in Xixian New Area, we provide for models such as PBM4-13.B29R: ① 72-hour simulated working condition aging tests (30% better than industry standards); ② free installation position evaluation services; ③ all diffused silicon sensors have passed CE/ROHS/explosion-proof certification. Technical evaluation personnel may request the Pressure Transmitter Installation White Paper (including 3D installation schematics for 50 models such as DG1300-BZ-A-2-40) by calling 029-8456XXXX or visiting www.sensor-tech.cn.
