When selecting a corrosion-resistant liquid level sensor, what advantages does the LMP-836 have compared with brands such as CYB-32 and TS-303? When facing highly corrosive media such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, the key indicators of a submersible polytetrafluoroethylene liquid level transmitter directly affect measurement accuracy and service life. In application scenarios involving highly corrosive media such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, and electroplating, the performance of liquid level sensors is directly related to production safety and efficiency. The LMP-836 corrosion-resistant liquid level transmitter uses polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material, which, compared with the PP material of CYB-32 and the PVDF material of TS-303, offers superior acid and alkali resistance. According to ASTM D543 standard testing, after 1000 hours of immersion in 98% concentrated sulfuric acid, 37% hydrochloric acid, and 50% sodium hydroxide solution, the tensile strength retention rate of PTFE material still exceeds 95%, while PP material shows obvious swelling under the same conditions.
Measurement accuracy is the second key indicator. The LMP-836 uses an imported ceramic piezoresistive core combined with a temperature compensation algorithm, achieving an accuracy of ±0.2%FS within the 0-10m range, which is better than the ±0.5%FS of PTH-602 and the ±0.3%FS of CYB-52S. Especially under working conditions with large temperature fluctuations, its ±0.02%/℃ temperature drift coefficient can effectively avoid measurement errors, which is crucial for applications such as sulfuric acid storage tanks that require continuous monitoring.
The third indicator is the reliability of the structural design. The integrated all-welded structure of the LMP-836 is IP68 certified, and the cable inlet adopts a double-sealing design, making it more resistant to media permeation compared with the threaded connection method of PCM-264. Its unique anti-clogging vent hole design solves the pain point of HJ-833 being prone to clogging in viscous media, and tests show fault-free continuous operation for 6000 hours in 98% concentrated sulfuric acid.
In the monitoring of lead-acid storage tanks in electroplating plants, we conducted comparative testing of the performance of PTB-603 and LMP-836. Lead-acid solution has strong oxidizing properties. The FEP material of PTB-603 showed slight discoloration after 6 months of use, while the PTFE material of LMP-836 still maintained its initial state after 12 months. For working conditions requiring the measurement of hydrofluoric acid, it is recommended to choose the LMK-807 model with Hastelloy wetted parts, whose hydrofluoric acid resistance has passed the ISO 2859-1 sampling inspection standard.
For CIP cleaning systems in the pharmaceutical industry, TS-1003 or LMP-836 is recommended, and both are FDA certified. However, the measurement dead zone of TS-1003 is 50mm, making it unsuitable for small reactors; whereas the 15mm dead zone design of LMP-836 is more suitable for installation environments with limited space. For projects with limited budgets, although CYB-52S is priced 30% lower than LMP-836, its service life in 40% sodium hydroxide solution is only 1/3 of that of LMP-836.
