In industrial automation control systems,the selection of a pressure transmitter directly affects production efficiency and safety。As frontline operators who have long worked in high-pressure environments such as petrochemical and power industries,we recently conducted a three-month field test on the KLP-800KG diffused silicon liquid and gas pressure sensor。This article will analyze its performance from the perspective of actual operating conditions,combined with comparative data from similar products such as P30-10007 and SMP135-S4M2F2A5DHGZ。
In the catalytic cracking unit of an oil refinery,we performed continuous pressure monitoring on the KLP-800KG for 30 days。The diffused silicon sensing element it uses demonstrated a comprehensive error of class 0.25,basically consistent with the nominal parameters。Especially at a medium temperature of 80℃,temperature drift was controlled within ±0.03%FS/℃,better than the similarly priced P30-10009 model。
In comparative testing,we found that the domestic PTFE pressure transmitter PT500-704 performed outstandingly in highly corrosive media,and its PTFE isolation diaphragm can withstand acid and alkali environments of PH2-12,which was verified in wastewater treatment projects。By contrast,the 316 stainless steel material of the KLP-800KG is more suitable for conventional oil and gas media,and it still maintains stability of ±0.1%FS/year under high-pressure operating conditions of 150MPa。
The core advantage of diffused silicon sensors lies in their broad media applicability。In tests at a natural gas compressor station,the KLP-800KG showed good tolerance to wet gas containing trace amounts of H2S,with no zero drift caused by diaphragm corrosion。However,its response speed in viscous media(such as heavy oil)is relatively slow,with a rise time of 8 milliseconds,where the ceramic piezoresistive AST-E0117 has a greater advantage instead。
It is worth noting that for special scenarios such as chlor-alkali chemical production,a fully PTFE structure similar to PT500-704 is recommended。In comparative tests we conducted on the outlet pipeline of an electrolytic cell,ordinary 316 stainless steel sensors showed pitting corrosion after 3 months,while PTFE materials achieved a service life 2-3 times longer under the same conditions。
The M20×1.5 threaded interface of the KLP-800KG is compatible with most existing pipelines,but compared with the compact design of the DG1300-BZ-A-2-0.2,its larger size is not favorable for space-constrained applications。During routine maintenance at a thermal power plant,we found that the aviation connector of this model reaches an IP65 protection rating,making it easier to assemble and disassemble than the direct cable connection method of the YM-MYJ。
In terms of price,the market quotation of the KLP-800KG is at a mid-range level,but considering its 5-year maintenance-free cycle,the overall cost is actually lower than that of some low-priced models。For projects with limited budgets,basic models such as P-B074001 can be considered,but class 0.5 accuracy and a shorter calibration cycle must be accepted。
Based on field test experience,we provide the following recommendations:for hydraulic control systems,response speed should be prioritized,and SMP135-S4M2F2A5DHGZ is recommended;for petrochemical anti-corrosion scenarios,PTFE material is the first choice;for conventional pressure monitoring such as building HVAC systems,the KLP-800KG offers a clear cost-performance advantage。
