The JPB-JPB2300 pressure transmitter uses a high-precision diffused silicon Haisman sensor, and its accuracy class directly affects the accuracy of industrial measurement. This article provides an in-depth analysis of the working principle and performance characteristics of the diffused silicon Haisman pressure sensor, helping operators correctly understand accuracy parameters and ensure that the equipment delivers optimal measurement performance in key applications such as flow control.
The core of the diffused silicon Haisman pressure sensor lies in the piezoresistive effect on its silicon chip. When external pressure acts on the sensor, the resistance value of the silicon chip changes linearly and is converted into an electrical signal output through a Wheatstone bridge. The diffused silicon technology used in the JPB-JPB2300 forms strain resistors on a monocrystalline silicon substrate through an ion implantation process, and its accuracy class (such as 0.1 class, 0.3 class) represents the full-scale error range. For example, 0.1 class indicates that the maximum error does not exceed ±0.1% of the range. This design enables the transmitter to maintain a typical accuracy of ±0.075%FS even under harsh working conditions in petroleum, chemical and other industries, far superior to traditional ceramic capacitive sensors.
In practical applications, temperature drift, mechanical vibration, and medium corrosion are the three major challenges affecting the accuracy of the JPB-JPB2300. The Haisman sensor addresses them through triple technical protection: 1) laser trimming temperature compensation technology, which controls zero drift within ±0.02%FS/℃; 2) a combination of a 316L stainless steel isolation diaphragm and a low-copper aluminum alloy housing, capable of withstanding corrosive media with pH2-11; 3) a built-in damping filter that can suppress interference from 20g mechanical vibration. According to our measured data, after 6 months of continuous operation in a power plant circulating water system, its long-term stability still remains at the industry-leading level of ±0.2%FS/year.
In scenarios where pressure and liquid level need to be monitored simultaneously, we recommend using it together with the domestic liquid level transmitter SH-A LCD display explosion-proof liquid level sensor. This device adopts the same diffused silicon technology source, features an IP65 protection rating and 4-20mA standard output, and is particularly suitable for outdoor scenarios such as reservoirs and dams. Its optional 0.1 class accuracy forms a closed-loop measurement system with the JPB-JPB2300, ensuring measurement consistency within the operating range of -40℃~85℃ through laser trimming compensation technology. This combination solution has already been successfully applied in three smart water projects in Xixian New Area.
Many users mistakenly believe that high-precision sensors do not require regular calibration. In fact, according to the JJG882-2019 pressure transmitter verification regulation, zero-point calibration is recommended every 12 months. We have specifically developed a three-step rapid calibration method: 1) zeroing through a HART handheld communicator under no-pressure conditions; 2) applying 50% range pressure to adjust linearity; 3) carrying out a three-point temperature compensation test. For diffused silicon sensors such as the JPB-JPB2300, special attention should be paid to preventing crystallization of the medium from clogging the pressure guide hole. In wastewater treatment applications, it is recommended to flush the measuring cavity with dilute hydrochloric acid of pH4 every quarter.
As a key high-tech enterprise in Xixian New Area, we have 15 years of R&D experience in diffused silicon sensors, and all products have passed CE and RoHS certification. For the JPB-JPB2300 pressure transmitter, we provide: 1) free on-site installation guidance; 2) an extra-long 3-year warranty; 3) 48-hour emergency response service. Our recently launched intelligent diagnostic system can also monitor the health status of sensors in real time and predict potential faults.
