The BP-IE pressure transmitter wiring diagram is a critical step in the installation of diffused silicon Hirschmann sensors in industrial automation. This article provides a detailed analysis of the wiring method for the BP-IE transmitter, helping operators avoid common installation mistakes and ensuring accurate measurement of pressure sensors such as PTS501 and AO-X. Mastering the correct Hirschmann sensor wiring technology can effectively improve the operational stability and measurement accuracy of equipment such as TMS-QY110.
The diffused silicon Hirschmann pressure sensor uses the semiconductor piezoresistive effect principle. When external pressure acts on the 316L stainless steel diaphragm, the silicon crystal deforms, causing a change in resistance value. This change is converted into an electrical signal output through a Wheatstone bridge, and is finally processed by transmitter modules such as BP-IE into a standard 4-20mA signal. Compared with traditional ceramic capacitive sensors, diffused silicon technology offers higher sensitivity and temperature stability, making it especially suitable for pressure monitoring under harsh working conditions such as petroleum and chemical industries.
The standard BP-IE Hirschmann connector wiring includes four core steps: first confirm the 24VDC power supply polarity (brown wire to positive, blue wire to negative), then connect the 4-20mA output loop (black wire to signal positive, white wire to signal negative), then properly handle shield grounding, and finally carry out waterproof sealing. Special attention is required: when used together with equipment such as Domestic General-Purpose Pressure Transmitter ZPM3400 Water Pressure Oil Pressure Air Pressure Sensor, it is necessary to ensure that the supply voltage is within the 12-36VDC range, otherwise the 0.1% high-precision sensing element may be damaged.
According to the field service data of Xi'an Shenghongchuang Instrumentation Co., Ltd., 80% of ZFBY3801 pressure transmitter failures are caused by wiring errors. Typical problems include: sharing conduits for signal wires and power wires, resulting in electromagnetic interference, failure to use shielded cables causing signal drift, and grounding loops leading to measurement deviation. In response to these situations, we recommend: using independent metal conduits for cable laying, ensuring the single-ended grounding resistance of the shield layer is less than 4Ω, and adding signal isolators for long-distance transmission.
After completing the wiring of the BP-IB pressure transmitter, three key tests must be carried out: zero calibration (the output should be 4mA under no-load conditions), full-scale verification (20mA should be displayed when rated pressure is applied), and step response testing (the rate of change should be ≤2ms). In daily maintenance, it is necessary to regularly check the effectiveness of the IP65 protection rating of the Hirschmann connector, especially for the Domestic General-Purpose Pressure Transmitter ZPM3400 Water Pressure Oil Pressure Air Pressure Sensor used in chemical environments. It is recommended to clean the electrical contact parts with anhydrous ethanol every 6 months.
As a national high-tech enterprise in Xixian New Area, Xi'an Shenghongchuang Instrumentation Co., Ltd.'s BP-IE series products have three core advantages: full-range temperature compensation technology (error <0.1% within the range of -40~+400℃), military-grade EMC protection design (certified for electromagnetic compatibility under GB/T17626), and a modular structure supporting quick replacement of various interfaces from G1/2 to M20×1.5. For special models such as TMS-GH186, we also provide free customized wiring diagram services and 24-hour technical response.
