Under high-temperature operating conditions, the stability and accuracy of the AST20HA pressure sensor directly affect industrial process safety. This article uses measured data to compare products in the same series such as AST4400 and AST4700, verifying the performance of key indicators of the AST20HA in extreme environments of 150℃, including zero drift and linearity, and providing key reference data for the selection of flow control equipment.
When flow control equipment operates under high-temperature conditions, pressure sensors face multiple challenges. First, high temperatures cause the internal materials of the sensor to expand, affecting measurement accuracy; second, the performance of electronic components declines as temperature rises; in addition, long-term high temperatures accelerate sensor aging and shorten service life. The AST20HA pressure sensor is specially designed for high-temperature environments, using special materials and structures to ensure stable operation at 150℃.
This test was conducted in a constant temperature chamber, with the temperature range set from 25℃ to 150℃. During the test, we compared the performance of the AST20HA with products in the series such as AST4400 and AST4700. The test items included:
All tests were carried out in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data.
At the high temperature of 150℃, the zero drift of the AST20HA was only ±0.1%FS, far better than the ±0.3%FS of the AST4400 and the ±0.25%FS of the AST4700. This excellent performance is attributed to its unique temperature compensation algorithm and high-quality material selection.
The linearity error of the AST20HA in high-temperature environments remains within ±0.15%, fully meeting the requirements of flow control equipment for high-precision measurement. By comparison, the linearity errors of the AST4600 and AST43LP pressure sensors under the same conditions are ±0.2% and ±0.18% respectively.
After 1000 hours of continuous high-temperature testing, the performance variation rate of the AST20HA was only 0.05%, demonstrating outstanding long-term stability. This feature makes it particularly suitable for industrial processes that require continuous operation.
In practical industrial applications, the AST20HA is often used together with pressure transmitters such as PT303 and PT304. Tests show that this combination can still maintain excellent signal transmission quality in high-temperature environments, providing reliable data support for flow control systems. PT101 and PT102 pressure transmitters also demonstrate good compatibility.
Based on the measured data, we recommend giving priority to the AST20HA pressure sensor under the following high-temperature operating conditions:
After a well-known refinery replaced its original sensor with the AST20HA, the system failure rate decreased by 60%, and measurement accuracy improved by 35%, fully verifying its outstanding performance.
This field test fully proves that the AST20HA pressure sensor has excellent zero-point stability, linearity, and long-term reliability in high-temperature environments, making it an ideal choice for flow control equipment. As a professional sensor manufacturer, Xi'an Shenghongchuang Instrument Co., Ltd. has a complete product line, including AST series pressure sensors and PT series pressure transmitters, capable of meeting various industrial application needs.
